Last Night of Music, Food Trucks, and Friends at Frontier Park

St. Louis, MO/October 15, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) – What could be more fun than a beautiful fall day in the park? How about a beautiful fall evening in the park with friends, neighbors, live music, and more than a dozen food trucks offering everything from tacos and beer to barbecue and cake?  The series of summer events known simply as Food Trucks in Frontier Park is winding down with one final evening of frivolity and great food along the Missouri Riverfront.  The last event of the year is set for Tuesday, October 17th from 5–8:00 p.m.

Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Sit back, and enjoy live entertainment as you indulge in a variety of delicious food and beverage options.  Please note that some trucks may be cash only.  The food trucks participating in this final event of the season include:

Angie Burger – premium burgers and tots
Cheese Shack Food Truck – gourmet grilled cheese and deep-fried macaroni & cheese balls
Chris’ Smokehouse – slow-smoked beef brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, and ribs
Guerrilla Streetfood – Filipino classics featuring Midwest influences
Doughboy’s Wood Fired Pizza – traditional pizza, some made with ranch-based sauce
Lion’s Choice – roast beef sandwiches, natural-cut fries, and frozen custard
Sarah’s Cake Stop – luscious cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and gooey butter cake
STL BLT – creative BLTs (bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches) and fresh chips
The Sweet Divine – imaginative cupcakes and fresh whoopie pies
Thai Jasmine – pad thai, glass noodles, fried rice, and more
Twisted Tacos – gourmet fusion tacos and sides
Wayno’s Mobile International Cuisine – global cuisine, sandwiches,and sides
Wing Nut – jumbo split party wings, chicken tenders, loaded fries, and apps
Zia’s – toasted ravioli, house salad, and Italian favorites
Trailhead Brewing Co. – beer and American fare

Enjoy a live musical performance by Short Term Memory.  The six-member band is popular for their wide range of classic rock and pop hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.  Their song list includes the Beatles, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Tom Petty, Maroon 5, Green Day, Van Halen, Nirvana, the Beastie Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Ramones, Billy Joel, U2, Led Zeppelin, Steve Miller and more.  You can learn more about Short Term Memory, including upcoming play dates on their Facebook page.

This last Food Truck event of the year at Frontier Park promises to be an evening of family fun in one of St. Charles’ most scenic parks along the Missouri River.  Keep in mind that outside alcoholic beverages and glass containers are prohibited, and coolers may be checked at the entrance.  Also, local laws prohibit bringing pets, other than service animals, to this event.  For more information about Food Trucks in Frontier Park visit the St. Charles Parks & Recreation website.

CHARLES, MO/May 11, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) We try to eat healthy but with all the temptations put in front of us, it’s sometimes very difficult!  Yet we know that eating healthy and exercising on a regular basis can add several years to your life.  Sometimes we just need a little guidance and tips on staying fit.  That’s why you’ll want to be sure and join Olivino this Saturday, May 13, for the Streets of St. Charles first ever Yoga on Beale event.

The Streets of St Charles is partnering with Barnes-Jewish, St. Peters and Progress West hospitals to bring you a triple dose of Healthy Living!  When you get in sync with the Universe everything turns out better.  Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Yoga Teacher, Maegan Beale, will be holding 2 sessions of yoga, one from 8 am-9 am and one from 11 am-12 pm.

One of the sponsors, Mobile Health Unit, will be on-site giving FREE health screenings.  There will also be a nutritionist, as well as, fitness demonstrations with Orangetheory Fitness!  And in addition, you can expect cooking demonstrations featuring Olivino and Prasino.

Olivino is excited to be participating in the event!  Beachbody Coach & daughter-in-law of Olivino Owner, Debbie Baker-Oliver, Melissa Baker, will be on hand to demonstrate healthy and easy recipes at 8:00 a.m., and again, at 11:00 a.m.  She’ll talk about all the ways to make quick meals that are also good for you.

She’ll be whipping up a Green Smoothie with Blood Orange Fused Olive Oil.  She’ll also be preparing a Mason Jar Mediterranean Salad drizzled with Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic and Tuscan Herb Ultra-Premium Olive Oil and Greek Yogurt with fresh Berries with Strawberry and Blueberry Balsamic Vinegars, both to be sampled.

ST. CHARLES, MO/May 10, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) We know about coffee and tea aficionados who will drive out of their way for that one special cup, but something new is making its way to the top of the favorites list and that’s the different smell and tastes of Ultra-Premium extra-virgin olive oils and amazing balsamic vinegars.  Many chefs consider it the most essential, elemental ingredient in their craft.

Olivino Tasting Bar at 1650 Beale Street #167, in the Streets of St. Charles, is giving home cooks and foodies a wonderful opportunity to sample pairings of olive oil and balsamic vinegars, plus try both as ingredients in foods ranging from tasty caprese salads to delicious brownies made with blood orange olive oil.  They realize the importance of tasting items before you buy them.

The eclectic shop that opened at the end of 2016 has been wowing customers ever since with their vast selection of olive oils, balsamic vinegars, local food products, gift baskets and accessories for entertaining.  Owner, Debbie Baker-Oliver, is a former corporate career woman who channeled her career experience and passion for excellent food into Olivino.

Tonight is the kick-off of the Streets of Saint Charles’s “Beale Street Concert Series,” featuring the popular Dr. Zhivegas, and Olivino is ready to help with the celebration.  Stop by and sample incredible Caprese Bites, Balsamic Roasted Strawberry Crostini and No-Bake Cheesecake with Raspberry Compote.  That’s on top of their usual samples made with their Ultra-Premium Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars.

They will also be selling a variety of Specialty Cocktails including Vodka Balsamic Club, Blackberry Bourbon Fizz, and yummy Tropical White Sangria.  Olivino also carry’s wines from Noboleis Vineyards, along with a variety of craft beers for to choose from.

In case you’re still hungry after all the delectable samplings, they will also be selling sausage and cheese complete with small picnic bags for napkins, plates and knives to enjoy while watching the concert.  Bring a lawn chair and come out for a night of fun!

ST. CHARLES, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) Legends & Lanterns – Historic St Charles, MO is hosting their Legends & Lanterns Festival over two weekends along historic St Charles Main Street.  It is a spirited journey through Halloween history.  You encounter 13 legends of Halloween history along Main Street all with a tale to tell plus Scarecrow Glen, Dia delos Muertos Plaza, stories aboard a horse drawn hay wagon and much more.

St Charles, MO is always creating fun, family friendly events for the community to enjoy.  Downtown St Charles is a beautiful destination that is filled with atmosphere and gives a feeling of historic times with its brick laid street, quaint shops and restaurants and so much more.

While traveling along down Main Street be sure to stop in some of the popular restaurants like Magpies.  Magpies is a local favorite than is conveniently located along Main Street right in the middle of the event.
