ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – Sugarfire Smoke House’s newest downtown Washington Avenue location is not only open for business, but it’s booming. After collaborating together for 15 years, Pastry Chef Carolyn Downs and Chef Mike Johnson, finally decided to open a “barbecue and pie place. Their first venture opened in Olivette in 2012 and was such a success, they just kept on expanding. Other locations include St. Charles, Valley Park, Washington and O’Fallon, Mo.

In addition, the pies were such a hit, that there’s an additional Sugarfire Pie in Olivette, specifically featuring Carolyn Downs’ desserts. The downtown location features Sugarfire’s traditional menu of barbecue, sandwiches, burgers and sumptuous daily specials. It also features a separate bar. This is the sixth location for two-time STL 100 honoree.
