St. Louis Union Station’s Station Grill Competes in the James Beard Foundation’s Blended Burger Project
ST. LOUIS, MO/May 30, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) Station Grill – The James Beard Foundation’s Blended Burger Project is back and St. Louis has a delicious home town competitor.
From now through July 31, food lovers can vote for St. Louis Union Station’s Station Grill, which will be competing in the contest with a burger called The Perfect Union.
Station Grill is joining in the movement that strives to make burgers better by blending ground meat with chopped mushrooms, creating a delicious patty that is healthier and more sustainable for the planet.
The blended burger created by St. Louis Union Station’s Executive Chef Russel Cunningham supports local farmers and providers and uses the best possible products to create the flavorful burger.
The patty is a blend of local Eckenfels Farms beef, hen of the woods and crimini mushroom, shallots and chives. It’s served on a brioche porcini and parmesan roll with smoked heirloom tomatoes, petite mizuna, garlic and smoked pepper aioli, and is topped with Marcoot Creamery’s “Tipsy Cheddar” made with Schlafly Pale Ale.
Diners can get 30 percent off of their burger at Station Grill by voting, sharing their post to social media and showing the post to their server. Voters will be entered to win an expenses-paid trip for two to the James Beard House in New York City for the exclusive Blended Burger event.
