Italian Food Inspired by Tuscany at Brio Tuscan Grille

Brio Tuscan Grille, Frontenac, MO

ST. LOUIS, MO/June 5, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) The minute you step into Brio Tuscan Grille, it’s like you’re transported to Tuscany.  My favorite restaurants are those that have that five star vacation ambience.  This is one such restaurant with its palatial high ceiling framed by tall rounded pillars with crown molding connected to the warm colored Tuscan textured painted beams that match the textured walls.  Flowing white fabric is draped from the center ceiling to the outer pillars and tall luxurious green palms are strategically placed throughout the restaurant.  Beautiful hanging light fixtures accent the lavish décor with a soft glow.  The exterior green and white awnings can be seen through the colossal windows and doors out to the beautiful dining patio.

While the atmosphere is stimulating you, a friendly server delivers Brio’s signature Flax Seed Crackers and freshly made sour dough bread with fine butter to snack on while you look over their expansive menu.  Lunch features Bruschetta (such as Roasted Red Peppers, Sliced Steak or the Chef’s Seasonal), Small Plates (such as Roasted Garlic Spinach & Artichoke Dip with Parmesan Flatbread; Beef Carpaccio; Spicy Shrimp & Eggplant; Calamari Fritto Misto; Tomato Caprese; Burrata & Ciabatta; Margherita Flatbread; Sausage & Pepperoni Flatbread; Prosciutto & Burrata Pizza);

Soups and Side Salads include Lobster Bisque, Caesar Salad, Kale Caesar (Crispy pancetta, tomatoes, chopped egg, croutons), Brio Chopped Salad (Chopped greens, tomatoes, black olives, red onion, cucumber, Feta, red wine vinaigrette), Wedge Salad (Gorgonzola, bacon, tomatoes, creamy Parmesan dressing)

Entrée salads feature: Kale Caesar Grande, Strawberry Balsamic Chicken (Mixed greens, thinly sliced grilled chicken, grapes, spicy pecans, Gorgonzola, herb vinaigrette), Grilled Salmon (Tomatoes, grilled asparagus, Feta, crispy shoestring potatoes, balsamic vinaigrette); Grilled Steak (tricolore lettuce, tomatoes, Gorgonzola, mushrooms, spicy pecans, cream horseradish balsamic), and Pesto Chicken & Quinoa (red peppers, asparagus, quinoa, faro, cucumber, chickpeas, tomatoes, Feta Arugula, creamy herb dressing).

Brio’s top chef inspired specialties feature: Mezza Grilled Chicken Marsala, Mezza Chicken Milanese (Crispy Romano chicken, herb pasta), Shrimp Mediterranean (Spicy grilled shrimp, orzo, faro, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, spinach, Feta, pesto vinaigrette), Mezza Chicken Limone (Lemon, capers, roasted vegetables, Yukon gold mashed potatoes); Grilled Salmon Fresca (Grilled asparagus, sweet potatoes, spinach, red peppers, pesto vinaigrette, Feta, tomatoes, balsamic).

Pasta selections include: Pasta Pesto, Mushroom Ravioli Di Bello, Pasta Brio (Rigatoni, grilled chicken, mushrooms, roasted red pepper sauce), Pasta Alla Vodka (Ricotta filled pasta, spicy tomato cream, pancetta), and Campanelle Carbonara (Grilled chicken, bacon, spinach). Additional pasta selections are included within the 2 Course Lunch Plates such as: Mezza Fettuccine Alfredo, Mezza Lasagna Bolognese.

Sandwiches options include Burger Americano, and Pesto Chicken Club (which is also available on the 2 Course Lunch Plate).

The Dinner menu includes larger portions of the lunch options plus the following Grilled Dishes: Center Cut Filet, New York Strip, Grilled Chicken Breast, Fish of the Day, Grilled Pork Chops, Lamb Chops with special additions: Jumbo Crab Cake, Grilled Jumbo Shrimp and Spicy Black pepper Shrimp. The Seafood line up features: Grilled Salmon Fresca, Shrimp Risotto & Broiled Lobster Tail, Shrimp Mediterranean, Pesce Picatta, Shrimp & Lobster Fettuccine, and Crab Cakes.

A wide variety of decadent desserts are on both menus and include petite Treats such as Dolchino Trio, Caramel Mascarpone Cheesecake, Crème Brulée and Chef’s Seasonal Dolchino.  Desserts for sharing feature warm chocolate (with Vanilla bean gelato), Cheesecake (Caramelized sugar, anglaise), Tiramisu and Gelato.

Weekend Brunch includes the lunch items and breakfast favorites such as Scrambled eggs & bacon; Omelets, Berries & Cream French Toast; Ham & Biscuit Benedict; Shrimp and Grits.
