Roundup for a Good Cause – Food Truck Mania
ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – Food Truck Mania – The Food truck craze has skyrocketed over the last few years. By the year 2017, the industry is expected to reach $2.7 billion in revenue in the U.S. alone. The concept offers a deviation from the brown-bagged lunches of the past, and even from a normal lunch hour out at a restaurant. They also offer unique dishes from different cultures around the world, many of which are not represented by actual restaurants that can be patronized.
These unique foods, coupled with quick service and low prices, make food trucks a favorite. So, is it any wonder that with just one day to go till the 6th Annual Food Truck Round Up in Forest Park, the excitement continues to grow? The event, which takes place on June 24th from 6 PM – 9 PM at the Dwight Davis Center, will feature seven St. Louis area food trucks including Angie Burger, Doughboy’s Wood Fired Pizza, and Russo’s Trucktoria, just to name a few.
This year’s theme is “everything western,” so wearing western attire can win you a prize. It’ll also put you in the mood for the ride of your life on a mechanical bull. Local celebrities, CEO’s, donors and friends of Beyond Housing are being asked to come out and help raise money by asking their family and friends to donate a set dollar amount for every second they’re able to stay on the bull. If they pledge $5 per second, and the rider stays on 10 seconds, then they donate $50 to help Beyond Housing accomplish its revitalization efforts in the Normandy school district.
It’s a great way to show your support for Beyond Housing, try out delicious foods, and test out your bull-riding skills. Don’t wait…the countdown continues. To purchase tickets and learn more, go to: beyondhousing.org or go.rallyup.com/bh-roundup.
