Bob Candice recently purchased the rights, name, recipes and smoker mounted in a food trailer of BBQ ASAP.  While it is a step outside the box from Italian cuisine it will make the perfect complement to their already successful restaurant and catering business.

They offer “Party on the Patio” every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm featuring live music, drink and food specials with popular local musicians.

Candicci’s is known for authentic Italian pizza as well.  They began offering pizza delivery within 5 miles of their location a few months ago as well as offering online ordering.

LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – our first visit to G&W Meat was this morning and it was more than impressive.  People lined up to make their meat purchases.  Fireman standing in line, but had to leave for a run and the employees were handing out free beer for those waiting in line.  Grill rolling outside selling brats.  Their products are in high demand from what we saw.

G&W Meat was founded in 1965 by brothers Henry and Helmut Wanninger, along with their partner Otto Gummerscheimer.  These days G&W is a full service meat market as well as a wholesaler of fine Bavarian Sausages, family owned and operated by cousins Bob and Gerhard Wanninger.  Continuing in the tradition of their dads they use the same family recipes brought from their Grandfather’s Butcher shop in Regensburg, Germany.  Bob & Gerhard have grown the business by adding news items such as Bacon Cheddar bratwurst, Jalapeno brats with or without cheese, Chorizo, Cajun Andouille & Chicken Sausage.  They also now offer specialty imported items, G&W logo items and on site deer processing.  As well as selling farm raised venison sausage year round.

Many franchise donuts franchises like Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme give away one free donuts every holiday.  Dunkin Donuts has been serving donuts for more than 66 years and is the #1 retailer of donuts in the United State offering more than 70 varieties of donuts daily.

Donuts is one of those foods that everybody loves.  I honestly don’t know anybody that doesn’t love donuts.  Nobody will admit to eating them, however, think about the donuts shops, Hostess, Little Debbie and so on.  There are donuts everywhere and they wouldn’t make them if consumers didn’t eat them.

Find your favorite donuts shop/store for next Friday, June 3rd and enjoy yourself a donuts.  Does anybody know the correct spelling?  Is it donuts or doughnut?  Who care!  Just give me a doughnut.

ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) Some exciting news about one of our own! St. Louis’ Ashley Shelton, the Executive Chef of Gerard Craft’s popular Pastaria restaurant, was recently named one of 48 semifinalists for Eater’s Young Guns award. It’s the influential website’s annual recognition of “ambitious and talented industry newcomers.” The award identifies chefs and other food and beverage professionals who are under age 30, or who have had fewer than five years of experience in the business. Shelton is 27 years old. She is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and has worked as a member of the Pastaria staff since the restaurant first opened.

Many of the semifinalists were nominated multiple times, recognized by their peers, customers, and mentors for their dedication to pushing the boundaries of their professions. The list was then narrowed down, and vetted by industry leaders, past Young Guns winners, and Eater staffers.

The 2016 Eater Young Guns winners will be announced on June 28th. Leading up to the announcement, Eater will share background on the stories and experiences of these professionals to provide insight into why they stand out in the industry and what to expect from them in the future. Shelton is the only nominee from Missouri.
