3rd Annual Clayton Craft on Tap Pushed Back to September

September Tasting Event Bringing Craft Brewers to Clayton

Clayton, MO/August 7, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) – There are festivals and dining events all year long across the St. Louis area.  One of the newer celebrations of the area’s burgeoning craft brewing scene is the Clayton Craft on Tap event.  Now in its third year, the event brings beer lovers and artisan brewers together in downtown Clayton for an afternoon of tasting and fun.  Tasting events like this give brewers a chance to introduce their beers to consumers and connoisseurs, and it gives beer nerds and newbies the chance to try something fresh and new.  The first two Craft on Tap events in downtown Clayton were held in August.  This year’s event has been pushed back from its original August 20th date, and is now set for Saturday, September 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The annual Craft on Tap festival began as the result of a partnership between the City of Clayton and local the Craft Beer Cellar (8113 Maryland Ave) which specializes in packaged craft beer from St. Louis and elsewhere.  Additional sponsors have signed on, including Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. and Grey Eagle Distributors.  The festival will feature samples from more than two-dozen brewers, including:

10 Barrel Brewing Co.
Blue Point Brewing Co.
Breckenridge Brewery
Elysian Brewing
Golden Road Brewing
Goose Island Beer Co.
Kona Brewing Co.
Odell Brewing Co.
O’Fallon Brewery
Old Bakery Beer Co.
Perennial Artisan Ales
Public House Brewing Co.
Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.
Virtue Cider

Additional names are added each week as more local brewers sign up to participate.

This year’s event will also feature food from local restaurants and several of St. Louis favorite food trucks and music from the popular cover band Whiskey Dixon (http://www.whiskeydixon.com/index.html).

Tickets are on sale now, with a limited number available.  General admission is $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the event.  General admission tickets include unlimited tastings and a commemorative glass.  VIP tickets are $50 and give you all that, plus early admission (12:30 p.m.) and the chance to taste some exclusive VIP beer offerings.  Designated Drivers get in for $10. Advanced tickets can be purchased online at: http://claytoncraftontap.ezregister.com/.
