JBF Celebrity Chef Tour Comes to St. Louis – Vicias Executive Chef Host Event

St. Louis, MO/December 20, 2016 (STLRestaurant.News) Vicias Executive Chef – On behalf of the James Beard Foundation, Vicia’s Tara and Michael Gallina, are planning to host an exclusive dinner at their restaurant, along with six renowned chefs from across the country.  What is the JBF?  The James Beard Foundation is a national not-for-profit organization based in New York City that was started by Cookbook Author and Teacher, the late James Beard.

Beard had an in-depth knowledge of food and was a champion of American cuisine.  He believed in nourishing, healthy foods that tasted good as well, and he spent his life educating and mentoring generations of professional chefs and food aficionados, instilling those values in them.  JBF still exists today and continues in the same spirit it did when Beard was alive.

The Foundation oversees numerous distinct programs such as educational initiatives, chef advocacy training, culinary student scholarships, food industry awards, and several publications.  It also maintains the historic James Beard House in New York City’s Greenwich Village as a “performance space” for visiting chefs.

The Upcoming James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour Dinner will be held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 at 6:30 p.m.  The event will take place in twenty cities across the country, including St. Louis.  Guests will be able to experience a taste of what takes place at the James Beard House in New York City.

There will be a cocktail reception, followed by a one-night-only, multi-course dinner with wine pairings and ending with a decadent dessert course.  The guests will have the opportunity to experience dishes from each of the celebrity chefs in an evening inspired by dinners served at the James Beard House in New York City.  During the meal, while enjoying the specially designed menu, they will also have the opportunity to ask any participating chef questions.

The evening’s line-up includes:
