ST. LOUIS, MO/June 17, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) – Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria in Rock Hill is proud to announce their upcoming Giveback Tuesday event, which will benefit World’s Fair Park St. Louis.  The event is slated for Tues., June 27, 2017.

Every month, Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria features a local nonprofit charity and donates 100 percent of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the charity.  Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included.  So far, Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria has donated more than $100,000 to local nonprofit organizations.

Funds raised from this Giveback Tuesday event will go directly toward the completion of the organization’s feasibility and economic study, which will serve as a launching point for their special park to be created.

“Once the study is conducted, we will not only have a location for the park, but we will also have the hard numbers and information that businesses are seeking, which we can present to government officials and independent contributors,” said Tim Buening of World’s Fair Park St. Louis.  “Currently, our Board of Directors is performing the majority of the fundraising work, along with networking and building awareness for this park.”

Established in 2016, World’s Fair Park St. Louis is aiming to create a special park that will serve thousands of diverse people.

“Our park will serve eight neighboring states within driving distance with a 1005 accessible playground, rides, attractions, amphitheater, ice rink, and greenhouse,” Buening continued.  “We will also be providing our wounded veterans and high-level persons with disabilities job placement and expansion phases.  Overall, our goal is to make sure that this park is 100 percent inclusive to every single person, no matter what their physical or mental needs are.”

Vero Pizza and Past provides unique food kits, which include carefully curated Italian recipes and fresh ingredients for customers to prepare easy and enjoyable meals.

ST. LOUIS, MO/June 07, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) – Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria is proud to announce the launch of their most recent company, Vero Pizza and Pasta.

Vero Pizza and Pasta provides unique food kits, which are collections of carefully curated Italian recipes and ingredients that customers can prepare easily and enjoy.  The kits change on a bi-weekly basis and feature delicious, seasonal ingredients to help customers make simple yet authentic recipes with family and friends.

When customers order their kit, everything will be delivered to their door and packed in temperature-controlled boxes.  Included in each kit will be Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria’s signature dough or fresh pasta, raw ingredients, full-color recipe cards, and video links to recipe demonstrations by Chef Katie Lee Collier.

We are thrilled to launch this new company,” said Collier.  “Our goal with Vero Pizza and Pasta is to bring families and friends together to celebrate love and life, build bridges, and enjoy delicious food with our meal kits.  We hope that our customers will enjoy exploring unique possibilities and will create new memories with Vero Pizza and Pasta.”

Customers can purchase meal kits by visiting http://www.veropizzaandpasta.com and selecting the type of kit they want.  They can select either a one-time purchase or sign up for a bi-weekly subscription and create their Vero online as well.  Customers can also select which day of the week they would prefer the kit to arrive – Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday – and the kit will arrive seven days after the order is placed.  Shipping is free on all orders.

Vero Pizza and Pasta has also teamed up with Operation Food Search to help heal hunger throughout St. Louis.  Each time a meal kit is purchased, Vero Pizza and Pasta will donate an emergency meal to a hungry child in St. Louis through Operation Food Search.

Katies Pizza and Pasta Osteria hosting Giveback Tuesday benefiting Pedal the Cause

ST. LOUIS, MO/April 13, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) Katies Pizza and Pasta Osteria, located in Rock Hill, MO has announced their Giveback Tuesday.  It is created to benefit Pedal the Cause.  This event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

One day each month 100 percent of proceeds from the sale of lunch, dinner, drinks and carryout are donated to charities.  Contributions have exceeded more than $100,000 to date.

Funds raised from this event will be dedicated to fund groundbreaking cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

In a statement by Carrie Sweigart, Chief Operations Officer at Pedal the Cause, they will be presenting funds to their beneficiaries on November 16, 2017.  More than $3.8 million has been donated for cancer research by Pedal for Cause last year and they hope to grow their contributions in 2017.

Pedal the Cause was founded in 2010 with a mission to fund cancer research that will ultimately lead to the cure of all cancers.  However, more impressively, more than $15.8 million has been donated to the Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children’s Hospital funding 84 research projects for cancer research.

ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) OpenTable Releases List: they are the world’s leading provider of online restaurant reservations, seating more than 19 million diners per month through online bookings among more than 37,000 restaurants.  The San Francisco-based online restaurant reservation service, recently released a brand new list of top 10 restaurants fit for foodies in the area, and St. Louis continues to flourish as a bona fide foodie city.

Last year, St. Louis made NerdWallet’s list of the “Best Cities for Foodies,” as well as, WalletHub’s list of the “Best and Worst Foodie Cities for Your Wallet.” On that list, they ranked No. 21 out of 150.  This month’s OpenTable restaurants fit for foodies current No.1 spot goes to Five Bistro, located at 5100 Daggett Ave.  That’s exciting news for the restaurant and for diners of the popular Bistro.
