The Shack – Breakfast & Lunch

ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – To some, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  It symbolizes waking up, getting the day started and spending time with loved ones.  At Shack, it is all that and then some!  Looking through the Shack menu, one’s mouth is guaranteed to water while his heart laughs at the witty, one-of-a-kind menu selections.  Tim Kimmell, kitchen manager at the Valley Park location, said the item names seem to be a big hit among customers.  “One of the reasons we stand out to guests is because of the comical names we use to introduce our dishes,” Kimmell said, referring to item names like The Kitchen Sink, Smoke ‘Em if You Got ‘Em and Make a Grown Man Cry.  “Not only are our dishes’ names funny, but they taste great!”  Shack’s breakfast menu has something for everyone with its wide selection ranging from omelets to pancakes to skillets to healthy choices (some of which are gluten free, depending on location).  A crowd favorite, Gringo Killer, is a two-egg skillet with chorizo, onions, bell peppers, green chili salsa and special SHACK cheese, all served with hash browns.  For those with more of a sweet tooth, Because We Can E-Z, another crowd favorite, treats customers to a scrumptious french toast sandwich stuffed full of eggs, sausage and bacon, all served with hash browns.  But the fun doesn’t stop there.  Shack also offers a variety of tasty smoothies, cereal shakes, adult swim beverages and boozy shakes, some of which are even fat free and gluten free.

Shack also offers lunch but is most well-known for its succulent breakfast menu.  In fact, Shack has been recognized repeatedly for its mouth-watering menu. St. Louis Post Dispatch GO!  Magazine named Shack #1 for breakfast for 2016; STL Magazine named Shack as “Best Breakfast in the County” for 2015; and Shack was also named “Best Restaurant of 2015” by STL Magazine, and these are just a few of the awards.  The Shack offers patrons two locations, one at 13645 Big Bend Rd., in Valley Park and another at 731 S.
