Augusta Plein Air Art Festival for Noboleis & Other Wineries

AUGUSTA, MO/April 21, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) Springtime is definitely in the air and so is the 15th Augusta Plein Air Art Festival that runs through April 30, 2017.  In its 15 year, the Augusta Plein Air Art Festival is a collaboration featuring numerous talented artists from Missouri as well as from states across the country.

The festival provides artists with the opportunity to enhance their skills and receive recognition for their extraordinary works of art.  It also gives them the chance to create outdoors capturing the traces of natural light in the majestic Missouri Wine Country.

Over 100 artists of all levels are expected to attend this year’s event.  They will be spread through-out the small towns of Washington, Defiance, New Melle, and Augusta capturing the most picturesque settings that can be seen anywhere.

Artists will be recreating historic structures on their canvas such as the scenic rolling hills of wine country, the exquisite Missouri River bluffs, the rich farmland, and the charming Katy Trail.  Visitors can watch the art be created live each day, and have the opportunity to purchase it directly from the easel.

There will be unique events featured each day during the festival at a variety of locations from local wineries to historic sites and in surrounding towns.  Come out and experience the fun filled events of the festival and award winning wineries.

Art completed during the festival will be on display and available for sale each day at the Augusta Visitor Center in the heart of Augusta as well as on location at each special event. Judging and awards and the Final Sale will take place at Mount Pleasant Estates on April 30.

Watch artists take over our hillsides and paint original artwork at Plein Air Evening Paint at Noboleis Vineyards.  Come out and enjoy live music, food and wine tasting April 21, from 4:00pm 9:00 pm.
