ST LOUIS, MO: – (STLRestaurant.News) – The 8 Dollar Deli has been a trailer for over a year now and now it is time for them to bring a new Brick and Mortar store to the Delmar Loop at 6600 Delmar Boulevard. They are shooting for around June 1, 2016 to open the doors.

The owner Roger Morgan says that they promise the consumer the “world’s largest $8 sandwich”.  Mr. Morgan said he was tied of the same old sandwiches everywhere he went, so he decided to design a sandwich around what he wanted to eat that was fresh.

The menu is simple:

  • roast beef, ham or turkey, plus a variety of basic sandwich toppings
  • Sandwiches are a flat $8, with the option to make it a combo with chips plus a drink for $10
  • They also offer an $8 deli wrap
  • They intend to pioneer a breakfast offering called “Better Than Bagels.” What exactly that’ll be, is not known just yet, so you’ll be surprised

The shop will initially be open from 11 a.m. until well into the evening — 9 p.m. or 10 p.m.  They are hoping to add breakfast hours if the demand is there. “As long as people want to come in, we’ll serve them sandwiches,” the owner promises.
