ST. CHARLES, MO/August 9, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) Sometimes the best place to find authentic and fresh Chinese food is from the family owned little places.  Never judge an eatery by it’s exterior, for what you may discover inside could stimulate your pallet and satisfy your cravings.  Hunan House Chinese on South Fifth Street in St. Charles is one of the best-kept secrets for great Chinese delivery, delicious take out and friendly dine-in service.

No matter what you’re craving, Hunan House delivers signature flavors and unique textures such as their exceptional Fried Rice (Chicken, BBQ Pork, Vegetable, Beef, Seafood, & more) or a sampling of their many flavorful appetizers such as Egg Rolls, Edamame, Fried Chicken Wings, or their Crab Rangoon (which is one of the best with a savory crab meat flavor), or relaxing with one of their Asian soups such as Hot & Sour, Wonton, Egg Drop, Seafood, Vegetable & Tofu, or Miso.

Their impressive menu features nearly twenty House Specialties such as Green Jade Scallops, General Tso’s Chicken, Beef with Snow Peas, Lemon Shrimp, Peanut Butter Chicken, and many other innovative creations.  The menu boasts a variety of Shrimp entrees such as Pineapple Shrimp, Snow Peas Shrimp and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce to name a few.

If poultry is what you’re craving, Hunan House has several to choose from including Chicken with Broccoli, Pineapple Chicken, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Cashew or Almond Chicken and a few dishes with a spicy kick such as Hot Braised Chicken, Kung Pao or Curry Chicken, and Sesame Chicken.  They like to zest up their Pork dish flavors as well, such as Hot Braised, Hunan, Szechuan, to name a few.

A variety of spicy vegetable dishes such as Szechuan Veggie, Orange Tofu, Curry Vegetable, are available in addition to a variety of other mildly spiced Chinese Vegetable plates such as Sweet & Sour Tofu, Garlic Broccoli and more.  Health Conscious options include a variety of Steamed Vegetables or Steamed Broccoli with Steamed Chicken, Steamed Shrimp, or Tofu.
