A Sports Fan’s Haven…FieldHouse Pub and Grill

ST. LOUIS, MO/March 25, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) The FieldHouse Pub and Grill is haven for sports fans with their multiple state of the art flat screens airing an ample selection of sports.  Their website even hosts a schedule of airing sport events that you’ll find streaming upon your arrival.  Located in Midtown within walking distance to the SLU campus and the Chafeitz Arena, the venue is the official sponsor of the Billiken athletics.  And it’s no surprise that the FieldHouse is one of the favorite social meet ups as the pub has 20+ On Tap Drafts and an impressive selection of bottled beers and local craft brews such as Schlafly, Urban Chestnut and O’Fallon, plus many quality Crafts from around the country.

A creative menu that transcends pleasing the pre-sport/concert event diners, or Fabulous Fox post-show patrons, or the evening club crawl crowds, into the daytime business lunchers, the Fieldhouse offers up really scrumptious eats: Such as the sandwich menu favs which include the popular Grouben (blackened grouper with a Reuben twist, remoulade, creamy cole slaw, Swiss cheese on a marbled rye), or their BLFGT a Bacon, Lettuce and fried green tomatoes (with peppered may on grilled sourdough), St. Louis Steak Sandwich (thin sliced sirloin sautéed with green pepper, onion, mushrooms and provel cheese), BBQ Brisket, Veggie Sandwich (Fresh grilled veggies with balsamic reduction and provel on a ciabatta), Grilled Salmon (charbroiled and basted with a sweet and spicy Thai chili BBQ glaze on a Kaiser Roll), Cubano (Herb roasted pork loin, honey ham, Swiss cheese, sliced dill pickles, spicy mustard all grill pressed on Cuban bread), Reuben; Classic Club; Blackened Mahi, Porkzilla (a monster pork loin sammie on Fresh ciabatta), Buffalo Chicken, plus many others including Make it your Own burgers and chicken breast (all of which are served with your choice of home made chips, fries, creamy cole slaw or fresh veggies).

Fieldhouse specialties include Bronzed Grouper Tender fillet pan seared in spices topped with shrimp scampi over rice pilaf), Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Fish and Chips, Smothered Chicken (Char broiled chicken smothered with sautéed mushrooms, onions and provel over rice pilaf), Fieldhouse Mac N Cheese; Cajun Chicken Grille, and classic Chicken Parmesan.

Soups include: White Bean Chili, Beer Cheese Soup in addition to their Soup Du Jour.

Salad grazing ops include the FieldHouse (mixed green with provel, tomato and peperoncini), a classic Ceasar (with housemade dressing), Bistro (Red onion, dried cranberries, candied pecans and bleu cheese crumbles), Clubhouse (Mixed greens topped with julienne ham, turkey, hard boiled egg, smoked bacon and provel cheese), Grilled (or fried) Chicken (chicken breast with red onion, provel and smoked bacon), St. Louis (Fresh greens with artichoke hearts, red onion, pimento and provel tossed in their house vinaigrette dressing topped with fresh croutons and parmesan) Beef Steak (Grilled sirloin, sliced beefsteak tomatoes, red onion and bleu cheese crumbles).

And what would the fun American bar atmosphere be without the favorite shareable appetizers, such as FieldHouse Wings, Buffalo Shrimp, Fried Pickles, Nachos, BBQ Brisket Nachos, Pub Pretzels, Pretzel Skins, Fried Cheese, Chicken Strips, Quesadilla, Artichoke Dip, Stuffed Mushrooms, Scotch Eggs (Hard-boiled eggs, coated in Italian Sausage straight from the Hill, dusted in bread crumbs, served with a spicy mustard dip), Lahvosh (American Cracker bread baked with mozzarella, tomato and fresh basil topped with baby spinach and balsamic reduction), and of course a St. Louis tradition – Toasted Ravioli (original or cheddar jalapeno).
