Taking famous cookies to all new heights – Girl Scout cookie
ST. LOUIS, MO/February 7, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) On Thursday, February 23, the Girl Scouts will once again celebrate their sweetest event ever, Dessert First. The Cookie Culinary Competition started back in 2012 as a way to come together to honor the extraordinary achievements of Girl Scout Gold Awardees and local people and companies who support the Girl Scout organization.
It also honors the leadership and service of two outstanding Girl Scouts with scholarships of $5,000 to be used for higher education, and celebrates the culinary creativity of St. Louis’ top chefs. Each is given the task of taking Girl Scout Cookies and transforming them into scrumptious imaginative desserts.
With the help of a few special judges, during a cocktail hour, the attendees will vote for their favorite creations. This year just happens to mark the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts selling cookies and for this special anniversary a new heavenly variation will be introduced.
If you love dessert, you’ll love this event. The sugary affair will take place in the Khorassan Ballroom at the Chase Park Plaza. This year is particularly significant, as it marks the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts selling cookies and will feature the introduction of a new mouthwatering variety.
Thursday, Feb. 23, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Chase Park Plaza, Khorassan Ballroom, 212 Kingshighway Blvd. Tickets: $150
