South City to Get Blueprint Coffee Bar This Fall
St. Louis, MO/August 27, 2017 (STLRestaurant.News) – If you’re a fan of artisan, locally roasted coffee in St. Louis, then you’re probably familiar with Blueprint Coffee, the popular coffee bar and specialty roaster in The Loop (6225 Delmar). And of course, Blueprint Coffee is available at dozens of local restaurants, cafes, and retailers as well. Soon Blueprint devotees will have a new place to get their favorite cup of joe, when the specialty coffee makers open a new south city coffee bar at 4206 Watson Road in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood.
Blueprint is putting its new coffee shop inside a renovated auto-repair garage, so it will have ample natural lighting thanks to the large, glass-paned garage doors which will remain as part of the coffee bar’s design. This second location will seat 20-30 people comfortably inside. There will also be a patio which will seat another 10-20 more caffeine-seeking customers. As with Blueprint’s original shop in the Delmar Loop, the new location will have a welcoming, friendly aesthetic. But this new location will have a more fast-paced feel, focusing on speedy service for drip coffee, cold drip coffee and cold tea. Automated single cup brewers will be integrated into its service system to help baristas serve at a faster pace. The new coffee shop will also have a keg system, serving cold brew, cold tea, and potentially other cold beverages down the line. Unlike their Delmar location, the new space doesn’t feature a range or an oven, so only cold prepared food will be served, such as pastries.
Another exciting aspect of the much-anticipated south city location is a walk-up window on the front of the building (and possibly a second one on the back patio) that will allow customers to order drinks outside. Even with the focus on speed of service, the new location will be in a less heavily trafficked area than its bustling Loop counterpart, so it seems like a promising place to sip coffee with family, relax with a cuppa after work, or just hang out with your friends without the crush of a crowd.
Coffee lovers, keep your caffeine-dazed eyes peeled for this hot, new java spot coming to you soon. The newest addition to the Blueprint family should open this November. You can track development of the new coffee bar on Blueprint Coffee’s social media pages at #BlueprintWatson.
